As a Medical Receptionist, you play a role in allowing clients to continue receiving top quality care in a small town where access to health services may be limited.
Requirements:
Medical experience in a medical setting (preferred) Willingness to learn new skills and take on multiple responsiblities Working knowledge of computers and software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast paced environment Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
Responsibilities:
Welcoming patients/greeting them and checking them in Collecting payment as you check patient out Answering multi-line phone Scan/Fax/Copy as needed Maintaining patient chart and e-chart Scheduling Assisting in entering insurance checks Understanding patient ledger and explaining collection of payment to the patient May assist in reconciling ledger discrepancies May assist in patient office correspondance
